February Newsletter

Welcome to those who have moved in over the winter!  For those who are receiving this as your first newsletter, you can refer to our neighborhood blog for past issues.  The blog is www.harvestcrossinghoa.wordpress.com

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!

Our first Annual Meeting has been set for Wednesday, March 26th from 7:00 – 8:45pm!  The meeting will be held at the South Jordan Library in their meeting room.

We would love to see as many residents attend as possible!  We need a minimum of 60% attendance to vote on important issues.  We all live here together, if you want your voice heard, you have to show up and speak up!  We will be covering some critical topics!  Here are just a few things to be discussed:

Voting on CC&R Amendments

An increase in Board Members from 3 to 5

Introducing Fee Schedule

Presenting 2014 Budget & Reserve Analysis

Discussing HOA Fee Increase

Updating Directory

Discuss remaining outstanding transfer issues

Completion of the HOA reserve analysis – cost review

In the last newsletter, we outlined the issues we are still working with the Peterson’s on from the Transfer meeting.  Below is an update:

Retention Pond area clean-up

As I’m sure you’re all aware of by now, the Peterson’s have gated the retention area in the North East corner of the neighborhood.  We are still working on this issue but are happy to see they’ve taken this first step.

Street Lights out

Street lights have been fixed.

Trees

Still outstanding

HOA Fees for Peterson-owned lots

We have sought Legal advice on this issue and will be a point of discussion at the Annual Meeting.

HOA revenue/seed money balance

We have sought Legal advice on this issue and will be a point of discussion at the Annual Meeting.

Asset Inventory

We have since received this list from Peterson’s.

If anyone has a question/concern regarding the issues outlined above, please feel free to contact one of your Board Members.

After MUCH work, we have had some success with the gate transfer!  We still have some challenges to overcome before we are 100% passed the finish line, however at his point – all your personal codes are working!  THIS IS A BIG WIN!  Beginning immediately you can access the East gate with your personal code and/or 1036.  We plan to leave the 1036 code in effect until we have all issues resolved, giving everyone

a chance to become comfortable using the new system.

As a reminder, your personal code is the last 4 digits of your phone number, backward.  For example; 801-555-1234 would have a gate code of 4321.  If there is no answer at the preferred number, the call will forward to the secondary phone number you provided.

NOTE: At this moment, the car remotes are not working on the East gate!  We’re really sorry for this inconvenience!  For some unknown reason, when we successfully uploaded the new system, the remotes stopped working.  We are continually working with the gate servicer to ensure we get 100% past these hurdles and will notify everyone the moment they are resolved.  Your remotes still work on the West gate so you can continue to enter the resident-only gate with no problem.

Thank you once again for all your patience!  We will continue to keep you updated!

To minimize confusion and streamline payment processing, please be sure to send your monthly HOA payments to the PO Box address!  Hand delivering checks to different Board Members will no longer be allowed.

As a reminder, the monthly fee is currently $99/mo and is due on the 1st of each month.  You are welcome to pay multiple months at a time.
